Complete beginner? Or perhaps you’re keen to learn a new skill? Then our brand new ‘Learn To’ programme is just for you!

An exciting new initiative to give you the opportunity to receive structured coaching sessions over a 6 week period to learn a new skill or sport.

Our programme will launch with: Women’s Martial Arts Movements, Tennis Express and Squash Express.

All courses are inclusive and primarily aimed at beginners who are looking to learn new skills and meet new people.

how do i get involved?

You can book on our ‘Learn To’ programmes via reception at the SportsPark, over the phone on 0118 378 8799 or online and on the Sports Park App.

Please note we only have a limited number of spaces on each course.

Attendance of LEarn to…

When you purchase the six week block of Learn To sessions, there’s an expectation that you attend all six sessions. Please ensure you check the dates and are able to commit to attending all six sessions before you sign up.

We highly recommend attending all six sessions to make the most out of this activity.

cost

£20 for a 6 week structured, coached course.

Full payment will be taken at time of booking.

All courses start week commencing 14th October.

Please note, there will be a mid-semester break week commencing 4th-10th November, therefore your next session will be week commencing 11th November.

Tennis Express

FAQ’s

What if I cant make one of the sessions?

  • When you purchase the six week block of Learn To sessions, there’s an expectation that you attend all six sessions. Please ensure you check the dates and are able to commit to attending all six sessions before you sign up.
  • Spaces will be booked on a first come first serve basis.

Will equipment be provided?

  • Yes, equipment will be provided at all sessions
  • Please note, if you have your own tennis or squash racket, please bring this with you.

What should I wear / Bring with me?

  • We advise you to wear something comfortable and appropriate sports clothing to engage in the activity you have signed up for.
  • Please bring a water bottle with you.

refund policy

Once the programme has started there will be no refunds, unless there is a class cancellation and you cannot attend the rearranged date. You will then be refunded for the single class. If you are injured or illness prevents you from participating, a doctors note will be required to consider a refund.

If you have purchased a Learn To course and can no longer attend, you can apply for a refund for up to 7 days before the course starts. Please let us know by email; d.a.steers@reading.ac.uk.
