Netball

The brand new Campus Sport Netball league

After a successful first year the Intramural Netball league is returning for the 2019/20 academic year. This is the perfect way to get involved in sport, enjoy a little bit of competition and meet new people. Netball is a great sociable, team sport where students of a whole range of abilities have the opportunity to play some matches.

Balls and bibs will be provided for matches, this also includes one free training session.

Match Times and Locations

Matches will be on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, on the outdoor netball courts unless told otherwise. The first set of matches will look to begin during week 3 of term.

Team Members

Captains are our point of contact and responsible for their team. Maximum team member of 12 (7 players on the court at a time with 5 substitutions). Minimum team members 8.

Umpire and Regulation

To minimise team membership costs this league will run with team umpires. It is each teams responsibility to provide a team member to umpire and officiate the netball matches, one umpire from each side. This league runs as an honesty policy where cheating and bias defeats the purpose of playing – be fair, be nice!
