New Sports hall floor

The first phase of our sports hall refurbishment has now been completed and we hope you like the new colour scheme.

The 2nd phase has now been confirmed. The hall will be closed from Monday 16th June to Sunday 13th July inclusive. During this period no access to the sports hall will be permitted.

The new floor that is being installed is a Polyurethane sprung floor.

Just a few of the benefits to this type of sports floor are:

  • Enhanced Shock Absorption: The nature of the floor means it deflects under impact over a larger area, providing excellent shock absorption. This reduces the stress on athletes’ joints and muscles, lowering the risk of sports-related injuries and fatigue.
  • Consistent Sports Performance: It provides uniform support across the entire floor surface, ensuring consistent ball bounce and predictable footing for various sports.
  • Suitable for Multi-Sports: The synthetic surface is durable and can accommodate a wide range of sports activities.
  • Wheelchair Friendly: The solid, even synthetic surface is ideal for wheelchair use, promoting inclusivity at the SportsPark.
