Gym Closure & Alternative Arrangements

To safely and efficiently complete the refurbishment and installation works, the main gym will be temporarily closed from:

3rd August to 1st September 2026

Alternative Workout Space

During this period, Studio 3 will be available as an alternative workout space, ensuring you can continue your training. Please note that both space and equipment will be limited.

Studio 3 will be open for gym use at all times, except during the following scheduled class times:

  • Mondays: 16:45 – 20:00
  • Tuesdays: 16:45 – 18:00
  • Thursdays: 17:45 – 20:00

If you would like to freeze your membership for the month of August, meaning you have no access to facilities and services during this period, please email into sport@reading.ac.uk before the 15th July 2026. We will then automatically start your membership back up in time for the reopening.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these improvements are carried out, and we look forward to welcoming you into a significantly enhanced facility.
