Is the Gym open to the general public?
The gym is exclusively only open to Henley Business School Delegates, Greenlands Hotel Guests, and Staff with paid membership.
What time is the Gym open?
Opening times will be 06:30-21:00 daily.
Where do I sign up?
Sign up to become a member via the SportsPark website available from the 3rd January 2024
How do I cancel my membership?
If you have a membership by direct debit, you can cancel any time after the first direct debit has been taken from your account. You can email us at sport@reading.ac.uk or call us on 0118 378 8799 us before the 24th of the month to cancel, alternatively you can just ask your bank to stop the direct debit and they will notify us it has been cancelled.
Can we bring along non-residential friends and family?
The Gym facility is only available to current hotel guests, Henley Business School Students and Delegates, and Gym members. Any non-residential friends and family are welcome to join you onsite to enjoy the grounds but are not permitted to make use of the Gym facilities.
Where is the Gym?
Two minute walk from the Hotel Reception across the terrace, past River House and the Gym is located on the right. greenlands-campus-map.pdf (reading.ac.uk)
How do I get in?
You need to hold your staff campus card (after signing up via SportsPark) on the Gym entrance door until the light turns green.
Do I need an induction to use the gym?
No, you do not need an induction before using the Gym. However, please use the tutorial QR code provided on each piece of equipment.
Are there changing facilities and Lockers?
Yes, we have male and female changing rooms with toilet and shower facilities onsite at the Gym. Lockers are situated on the Gym Floor and require a padlock to secure. Lockers will be regularly checked, and the storage of kit overnight is not permitted.
Are padlocks provided at the Gym?
The lockers work with a variety of padlocks, we recommend you bring your own.
Are towels provided at the Gym?
Non-residential guests should bring their own towels if they want to use the shower facilities.
Is there CCTV in the Gym?
Yes, we operate with full CCTV throughout the opening hours. This is linked back to University of Reading Security systems.
How do I get emergency help?
We have emergency buttons installed throughout the Gym and changing rooms indicated with signage. These buttons transmit directly to University of Reading Security. First Aid Kit and Defib located at reception.
