Sport & Active Wellbeing Survey Report
Sport & Active Wellbeing Survey Results: 2024/25
From October to December 2024, the University of Reading released a sport and active wellbeing survey to obtain information from our students and staff relating to their demographics, participation habits, satisfaction of provision, and the impact being physically active has on various aspects of their lives. The survey was a collaboration between the SportsPark, Reading Students’ Union, Human Resources and the Research Evaluation Team.
We received a total of 1018 responses which have recently been collated and analysed to give us an in-depth overview of our student and staff community and their relationship with sport and active wellbeing, as well as extremely valuable feedback.
The following report can be viewed below and is broken down into two parts:
- the Executive Summary (a quick view of the key statistics and recommendations),
- the Full Report (helps give a more detailed analysis of the data, and what we will do with it to help develop our sporting offer further).
The following visual infographic helps quantify the key statistics from the survey.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the survey as the feedback has been invaluable to us as an institution. We will now take the next steps towards making improvements and tailoring our offer as best as possible to our University community, and will update students and staff later in the year with a ‘You Said, We Did’ style document so the University can evidence what has changed as a result of the survey.
